Firenze

Arrived in Florence Tuesday from the south of the city and wound through the maze of extremely narrow vias to ascend to Piaza de Michaelanglo high above Florence and the Arno valley. One of the goals of this trip was to visit Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore
to see Fillippo Brunelleschi's dome, an Architectural/Engineering highpoint in history.

In the Oltrarno neighborhood, South of the Arno, I wondered thru the maze of narrow one lane streets dodging Fiats and Vespas and bycicles by the thousands, searching for my lodging... will have many, many pictures to share later, just too many to upload via the Internet access points I've been able to find.

Later in the Center of Florence, where vehicles are severely restricted, The Ristorante Paoli was a real treat, recommended by several guide books, but nearly impossible to find and a wine bar "Vino"next door that was second to none in a city of hundreds of wine bars.

I'm on complete sensory overload from the bread shops, fruit stands, leather shops, Soap and Perfume sellers, Cofee shops, etc...and have become seriously addicted to Gellato....
